DIHING RIVER CAMP, Dibrugarh

The location of the camp is close to the heritage town of Dibrugarh, where the river front was the major centre of activity. The camp was set up with the intension to engage the local people from their different communities to have a better co-ordination among them and conserve the rich rural culture of upper assam. The tourist can living the river side lifestyle in a old assam tradition, exploring the river and the adjoining village culture & nature. Two Numbers of Chang Ghar ( Houses on Stilts ) with a common bath & toilet complex. One night stay at that river side camp is a great experience for the traveler to explore the rich rural culture of upper assam.



How to Reach :
By Air : Nearest Airport is Dibrugarh.
By Rail : Nearest Railhead is in Dibrugarh.
By Road : The recommended access is Dibrugarh to Dihing river camp by National Highway 37. 


Accommodation : In Dihing, Eco River Camp is the best option to stay. In the camp all cottages  are ethnic in style that respect local rural architecture and constructed with local materials. Two Numbers of Chang Ghar ( Houses on Stilts ) with a common bath & toilet complex are the only option at Dihing. Tent facilities are also available at the camp area.


Food : We serve local dishes specially and tastefully cooked for you by trained local chef. Much variety is not possible owing to the remoteness of the area; yet best possible food is provided under strict hygienic supervision. Vegetables come from the organic gardens of the village, chicken and pork from the village farms. Fishes are also be served in menu, picked by your own hand from Dihing River.
